PSN is seeking Board Members for 2018! Now is your chance to affect the future of this great organization.
How? Nominate yourself or another member to be part of the board. We are seeking the following positions:
Assistant Vice President - Performs the functions of the Vice President in her absence or incapacity. Performs other duties as assigned by the President or Vice President and is the presumptive Vice President Elect. Estimated time commitment: 10-15 hours/month.
Capitol City Director: Key representative to the Carson City arm of PSN. Manages luncheon locations as well as locating speakers. Meets with local business in an effort to raise awareness of and grow the Capitol City group. Estimated time commitment 10-15 hrs./month.
Secretary: Keeps an accurate record of all Board meetings. Gives notice of all meetings as directed by the President. Provides copies of meeting minutes for review in a timely manner before the next Board meeting. Works with the Corresponding Secretary to conduct the correspondence of PSN. Estimated time commitment: 10 hours/month.
Treasurer: Responsible for the receipt, custody and disbursement of all funds under review of the Board. Prepares and submits to the Board, for approval, monthly financial report and the proposed budget for the upcoming year at the October Board Meeting. Keeps record of the organization's paid membership; receives and processes all applications for membership including renewals and reinstatements. Estimated time commitment: 15 hours/month.
At Large Board Position: Up to three of these positions will be open. These members will be expected to attend monthly Board meetings and member luncheons and be actively involved in one or more committees (SWOTY, Events, Sierra Sales Summit, Sponsorship, Membership, Marketing, Correspondence or Finance). Estimated time commitment: 5-10 hours/month.
Events Chair: Responsible for communicating with the venues, develops sub-committees for all events (SWOTY, Sierra Sales Summit, Cocktails with the President, Meet the Candidates, etc.). Works with Vice Chairs for successful completion of event tasks, prepares annual schedule of events, finds speakers for all events. 10-15 hrs./mo.
