Our mission is to attract the finest professional saleswomen, for the purpose of enhancing the profession of sales, furthering self-development and building a network of success-minded women, who share our commitment to charitable and educational service to our community.
Winter is waning – isn’t it? Spring is coming – isn’t it? Well, for sure, it is S.W.O.T.Y. time !! You know, that fun time of year when we start working on the most exciting event we have. We have a Top Notch event planner hired to help us make our 30TH ANNUAL SWOTY EVENT the very best ever!
However, we still need volunteers to help do the things she plans and I have some names, but welcome more names – all the new members should want to sign up for this. It is great way to really get to know each other better!!
We also need recommendations for the Charity to which we want to donate our net proceeds. You will be hearing more of that from our new Executive Assistant – Christine Chatham!
And, we also need sponsors. . . . Donors for the silent auction. . . . . Donors for raffle prizes. Great time to re-purpose those Christmas gifts you just cannot use.
And, last but not least, we need nominations from you and your friends of the ladies you feel should be awarded: SALESWOMAN OF THE YEAR. Anyone from the whole Northern Nevada area qualifies, not just PSN members. There will be a nominations page on our Website soon – watch for it!!
See you all at the February 14 Luncheon ?!! The Events Committee has a robust networking program planned that everyone can enjoy. This is your chance to meet more new people and get to know others even better and welcome the 8 new members that joined last month!
Carson City Pop-Up!
An amazing turn out and we had a blast. Great connections were made and relationships were built! You can't help but love what is happening in Carson City.
Meet PSN Member: Michele Byers
My name is Michele Byers. I am an agent with New York Life. I am a native to Nevada, born and raised in Fallon. I lived in Fallon my entire life until just two years ago my husband and I moved to the Reno/Sparks area. I am a wife to a wonderful husband, mother of four children and grandmother to one awesome little grandson. I also have my "fury" baby....Ruger, he is a pointer/setter mix and very spoiled. My favorite thing to do is spend time with family. I am a strong believer in my faith and active in my church as the worship leader. I would consider my life to be quiet and reserved, and one in which I am privileged to find opportunities to be there for others.
I have been with New York Life now for a year and a half. I believe this is the profession that I have been seeking for as it gives me the opportunity to help alleviate fears and unpreparedness for others by bringing them understanding of their financial needs. Once those needs are understood, we can proceed with planning. The vast majority of folks move through life never having that peace of mind.
As your New York Life Agent, I can work with you to identify your goals, understand your needs, and offer insurance and financial products that can help you achieve peace of mind.
At New York Life every decision we make, every action we take, has one overriding purpose: To be here when you, our policy owners need us. That’s what makes us The Company You Keep®.
Focused on your goals.
I can help you ensure a sound financial future for you, your family, and your business by providing customized recommendations based on your individual situation and goals.
A customized approach.
I can make recommendations, tailored to your needs, on a wide variety of protection and financial matters, including:
• Life insurance protection
• College funding
• Retirement planning
• Business planning using life insurance
• Mortgage protection using life insurance
• Estate planning
• Leaving a legacy
PSN’s programs include monthly luncheons, Saleswoman of the Year Event, Sierra Sales Summit all-day training Event and pop-up networking events at member business locations plus cooperative events with AMA, AIGA, PRSA, and AAF.
You may have noticed some changes for the Reno-Tahoe AMA lately. Well in the spirit of our rebranding launcheon, we'd like to say out with the old, in with the new!
It’s time to welcome a “brand” new look.
Please join us on Wednesday, February 22 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Lincoln Lounge to say goodbye to the retired AMA brand and welcome the new.Come join us for a drink, BINGO, and raffle as we toast the old brand in true retirement fashion.
