What is PSN?
Founded in 1985, Professional Saleswomen of Nevada (PSN) is a not-for-profit networking and training organization consisting of two chapters in Reno and Carson City. Our current membership roster encompasses a wide variety of businesswomen and businessmen who share a mutual purpose to elevate the profession of sales and give back to our community.
Our meetings are set in a luncheon format designed to encourage, motivate and educate. Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of every month in Reno, and the fourth Tuesday of the month in Carson City. We strive to help saleswomen and men grow and succeed in the sales and marketing industries with our networking luncheons and events.
Our Mission
Our mission, since 1985, has been to attract and support sales professionals in our community. The Professional Saleswomen of Nevada are committed to enhancing the sales profession by increasing the understanding of the art of sales, furthering self-development and offering support for women and men in sales. We have accomplished this by building a network of professionals with the purpose of growing relationships and learning from each other.
Our Involvement in the Community
As a group of local business professionals, we are committed to our involvement in community service. During our 2018 SWOTY Awards, PSN awarded three local students with $1,000 scholarships toward their continued education in conjunction with Danny Heinsohn of My Hometown Heroes. Although PSN discussed providing scholarships to local students throughout the years, 2018 was the first year in which we were able to achieve our goal. This is a very proud moment for us, and the beginning of a scholarship program that we intend to support for many years. The non-profit organizations listed below are many that PSN has donated to over the years.
- My Hometown Heroes
- Veterans Guest House
- Girl Scouts of the Sierra Nevada
- Northern Nevada Food Bank
- Good Shepherd Clothes Closet
- Julie Hardt, an Olympic candidate
- Angel Kiss
- Make A Wish (The Duck Race)
- The Alzheimer’s Association of Northern Nevada (Memory Walk)
- AWAKEN
- Nevada Women’s Money Organization
